Microsoft and Yahoo yesterday announced a 10 year partnership to help each other on the web.
Microsoft will help Yahoo by providing Bing to power Yahoo! Search and a return in revenue generated through Yahoo’s many portals, in return Yahoo will become the “worldwide exclusive relationship sales force” for both companies helping Microsoft with its online sales and promotion.
Im not sure if this is a good thing or not, on the one hand its a shame to see an internet pioneer hang up its search engine boots in favour of the blood money it will get from Microsoft for embedding bing, but then Yahoo is a network going nowhere but downhill, used only by those that have used it since the early days or those that cant figure out how set a new homepage, missing out on the new generations as they flock to cool uncle google for their search needs, the revenue they will make from Microsoft will probably help the name Yahoo! stay in the headlights that little bit longer.
You can read more on the Yahoo! corporate Blog or the special site set-up to answer your questions.

Just a few days after showing us what Firefox 3.7 may have in store visual-wise, Mozilla have released some windows theme mock-ups of what version 4 of the open-source browser might look like.
Personally I would go for version B, mainly as it ties the location bar into a tab rather than just sitting on top like it currently does. (anyone else see some sort of Chrome insparation going on?)
Which version do you prefer? add your comments below…

just a quick note to anyone that uses wordpress on their website, developers have found a XSS vulnerability that could allow people to redirect you from your blog admin.
Comment author URLs were not being fully sanitized before they were displayed. This bug has been fixed in version 2.8.2 so best to upgrade as soon as possible…

I read an interesting article on hacks.mozilla.org the other day that I thought a few people may be interested in.
Its about a new DOM function, part of the Web Storage specification, that allows you to store data on a users local system.
Its written by Jeff Balogh, part of the Mozilla web development team
Link : http://hacks.mozilla.org/2009/06/localstorage/
hacks.mozilla.org is a site full of guides and demo’s of the new features that can be found in Firefox 3.5
